Swappin’ Bronco!

Swappin’ Bronco Jamiswp 640

These were given ‘special delivery’ for a great group of swappers!  I knew that I was going to love this set from the moment I first laid eyes on it in the new Fall & Winter Collection, 2007-08!  Luckily for me, I received the counter part set (‘Wanted’) when I attended convention last week!  Sweeeeet … since I love both sets!

I used one of my favorite techniques on this card … which is soooo easy!  The Bayou Blue piece was cut a bit larger than it appears.  The cut cardstock was thoroughly wet under running water, then crumpled & smooshed by hand.  Next, I carefully unsmooshed the wad, and flattened it on a kitchen countertop (or other heat tolerant surface).  Next?  Hit it with the heating tool!  I just kept the heat tool ‘moving, while I dried the pieces.  Eventually, turn the pieces over  to dry the reverse side.  Repeat the turn-overs a couple of times until dry.  To finish, I used DTP (direct to paper) with my Craft Pumpkin Pie ink pad.  Set aside to dry.  Tip:  I always set such stuff under a ceiling fan.

After stamping the ‘Genuine’ stamp with Craft Pumpkin Pie, it was embossed with SU Clear Embossing Powder.  A stipple brush was used to apply a light bit of Creamy Caramel ink atop the image piece before layering.

See the new Antique Brass Jumbo Eyelet by Stampin’ Up! ?  These are a dream to apply when using the new Cropadile!!  The Cropadile can quietly punch the larger hole for these eyelets, and then silentlyroll the back of the eyelet for application!  LOVE this tool!  To finish, I dyed Black Gingham Ribbon by SU by pulling it between a sponge triangle and my Creamy Caramel Classic ink pad until I liked the shade of brown.  Let it wave in the ceiling fan breeze for just a little bit, and it’s ready to tie!

I hope the recipients feel like they have a wee little representation of Texas in these!  Yeeeeehaaaaaaaaaaaaaawww!!
