I Am Not What I Was …

Published by at 3:48 am under Cuttlebug Fun,Our Daily Bread Designs

Cross Set I’m Not What I was 475×457Today I’ve used the 2nd largest cross in the set, “The Cross of Christ“.  This one is approximately 1.5″ wide X 2.25” high .. a wonderful ‘medium’ size.   I’ve chosen the quote from John Newton, which is one of 3 different verses included in the set.  What a versatile set this is!  It also includes some single words to use, including “grace”, “to you”, “Easter”, and “Blessings”.  You can use them together or separately, and the fonts are beautiful as well.   I knew when I first received this, I knew that I wanted to layer the cross with a verse.  There are so many possibilities.   I hope you enjoy this view as a starting point for layering text over an image.  Tex’s Tip:  When layering text over an image, sample your ink selections on scrap C/S first.  You’ll have great results with a softer or pale color for the image, and a darker neutral or dark color atop for the text.  I hope you’ll try this on one of your upcoming creations!  If you will post your link here, I would love to see what you come up with!    Thanks for visiting Savor the Journey today!
