Time for a Double-Doozie! * Post-Game Post from Texas

It’s been so long since I’ve posted 2 projects at once (Tex term = Double Doozie) …. so here goes!

Both of these projects are attempts at the clean & simple style.  And both were created for challenges at SCS, and feature Our Craft Lounge stamps.   Two for two so far.   Sadly, that matches the San Francisco Giants vs. the Texas Rangers as of tonight (game 2) in the World Series.  **insert sad face here**  {Okay … I did enjoy hearing 84-year old Tony Bennett sing “God Bless America” … Wow! }  So maybe if I just “put it in print’, that will lead to new & better news on the baseball diamond, and spark someone’s inner creativity all at the same time!  Yeah!  That’s what I’ll do … go for the double-play!    😉

First up = a CAS85 peek at Fall/Thanksgiving …

The multi-color leaves were stamped a few taps on one Distress Inks color, followed by a few taps on a darker color.   The same colors were sponged along the paper edges, and simple twine-threaded buttons are the only embellishments.   All stamps are from the “Shades of Fall” stamp set from Our Craft Lounge for the SCS CAS85 challenge.

Next up = a ‘switch-hit’ from Fall to Winter!

I have long-loved heat embossing …  so one special snowflake is embossed with a sparkly white embossing tinsel, while the others are simple pigment ink.  More embellishments are on this one, but I still consider it as a ‘clean & simple’ card, although it was orginally created for the FS190 challenge at Splitcoaststampers.   Paper-piercing dresses up the edge, a single pearl is easily placed with Glossy Accents, and a sparkly sheer ribbon tops it off.  For holiday mass-production, I’d recommend skipping the piercing.    😉

(Pssssssssssssst!   Dear Rangers … skip the “balls” next four times’ … go for the 3-up/3-down approach from the mound.  I’ll give you {{{hugggs!}}}  😉

Well, this wraps up the post-game post for today!  (Who could go right to sleep after watching that sadness on the San Francisco Bay anyway?)   I’ll be back again very soon … with more to share from the homefront in Texas, USA … no matter what happens at the ballpark!
