Happy Bird-day!!

I guess one could say that this one is  inspired by the wonderful, variable colors of Autumn.  Welcome, sweet Fall!   Luckily, it also worked into the  HYCCT12, HYCCT17 , and HYCCT26 challenges at SCS during the Hope You Can Cling To challenge month at SCS.  These challenges caused many, many cards to be created and donated to the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas for the use of their patients and families.   I hope to see SCS doing this every October as a beautiful and inspiring tradition!

It’s been a little while since I dabbled in paper-piecing, but rather than coloring the five circular areas of this stamp, I simply stamped a few times on some great fall paper, and cut/punched the various circles.   The fun little bird was stamped & cut out to work as an embellishment on the sentiment cloud.   The white cardstock was toned down a bit with easy sponging around the curves.  Happy Bird-day to all of you Fall birthday friends!

Here’s to a great middle-of-the week!
