Love, Love, Love!

Okay … I know … the Beatles’ song itself (All You Need is Love)  is so “oldie goldie” …  but I promise … it was marvelous in its’ day!    For now, it fits perfectly as is for my latest Our Craft Lounge creation, featuring the “Lola Love” stamp set.   Come on ….. Doesn’t the name of the set alone make you smile in some little way?!   This set offers a lot of possibilities, as ‘Lola‘ can be positioned in more than just one way.

This week’s splitcoaststampers featured stamper challenge (FS200) is actually a time to ‘reflect’ upon those featured stampers from the past … from 1 t0 199.   There’s something for everyone in this one, with 199 stampers from which to choose as your inspiration.  If you’re looking for a little creative nudge, check it out!  During my time as a member at SCS, I’ve been privileged to meet many inspirational stampers along the way.   But even though I have served on a previous design team with Niki Estes, I have never yet “met” her.  I’ve long-admired Niki’s style, so it seemed natural for the FS200 challenge that I chose NikiE‘s card (FS82) as my inspiration this week.        😉

The dress has been paper-pieced, and both the image & sentiment were air-brushed fo shading.  The ‘love’ sentiment was stamped & colored twice to allow a layer to be lifted up with a punched flower to serve as the ‘o’.  Remember ‘young love’?  That’s what this one brings to mind.

Thanks so much for your visit today!

***NOTE:  If you’re wondering about the Scrap-Mart Blog Hop Winner from my previous project post, the news will be posted first on Friday at the Scrap-Mart blog, and of course, I’ll add my winner to a post here afterwards as well.
