Welcome to mid-December, 2010! Hopefully we’re all well on our way to being ready for the coming celebration of Christmas, or your favorite holiday family time of togetherness. I’m growing ever closer to said goals, although this month is always a tricky time for me. Faith gets me through each year, and here I am on the “other” side of one of my December hurdles. 😉
As we all hustle & bustle toward finishing whatever lists & goals we have in mind, I’ve ventured into the world of Clean & Simple again, thanks to the CAS97 challenge at SCS this week. One of the Dirty Dozen, Birgit, provided this week’s inspiration, and for me, it was juuuuussst right. Thanks, Birgit! Perhaps I can learn to “embrace the white space” in 2011. My DD is so very comfy in that range, while I seem to tip-toe gingerly along through most white expanses.
My photo doesn’t seem to capture the subtle texture of the Prism White cardstock … but it is indeed a subtle look, and is there on any white C/S areas IRL. Such is my luck when doing photography inside without the blessing of calm days of subtle sun. It seems that Texas is often known for “more” …. such as more ‘breeze’, more sun, more whatever is happening at the moment! ha It’s simply best to have an indoor photo location, and shout hallelujah when you can actually “get out there” for a naturally lit photo!
My hearts-turned-semi-butterflies are actually two different stamps from the Our Craft Lounge “Hearts & Hugs” stamp set. I’ve added heat embossing to provide a distinction for my cutting and for visual difference against the cardstock.
This sentiment is a saying that my life-long friends from elementary through high school have written to each other for more years than I care to admit here! haha … … We use either this exact verbage from the stamp or the counterpart “luv ya”. True. But we never use it exclusively at any one time of the year. It’s whenever we write. So, I’ve chosen one of many colors that I enjoy, following the CAS97 example of fabulous white with a basic color only.
So here you go! Off to another day towards “countdown”! I need to call some little ones today to see how many more “sleeps” we have! Here’s to a Merry time for you as well … I appreciate your moments here, and the time you’ve taken to share with me as well.
