I’ve used the brand new “Wild Garden – Dandelion Border” (SKU:540-2) for my emboss resist card today. Inspired by our Texas sunrises and sunsets, the top edge was sponged with a blend of Distress Inks Dried Marigold and Mustard Seed. As you can see, this border stamp is a beautiful “full-sized” stamp … and can easily be used as the full focus of your card, or, using your favorite dies, the size is so easily brought into a smaller canvas if you like. I truly enjoy this type of versatility.
The image was stamped with VersaMark atop glossy white cardstock, then clear embossed before beginning to ink with Ranger Distress Inks. Die cutting was the final step on the image layer itself. For those of you who avoid “techniques” … try this! It really was “clean & simple” in my eyes … and the IRL effect is “worth it”. Give it a try, and let me know what you think! I’ve opted for ‘no sentiment’ today, only because I want you to see the dandelion border itself. I think my ribbon treatment hid enough! haha
Thanks to each of you for stopping by to join us today. I hope we inspire you to run to your stampin’ zone and hop into some inks & papers! You’re next stop along today’s hop is my delightful friend & so-talented stampy colleague, Charlene Merrick!
