Ribbon, Ribbon, Ribbon!!

Free Smiley Courtesy of www.millan.net Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee~!~!   I am tickled pink to be the Guest Designer today for Really Reasonable Ribbon!  Thank you, True and Bonnie, for this sweet opportunity!   I’ve created a couple of fun projects using their wonderful ribbons.   I’ll share one of them with you here, and have posted both projects over at the Really Reasonable Ribbon blog.

The fabulous Shimmer Satin assortment is the source for the gorgeous green ruffled ribbon on this birthday card.  I’ve had this idea on my mind for a while, and even though it took a little twist while I was working on it …. I think I just might have found my next birthday “stash” card … you know … cards for the little “stash” we should keep available for “need it now” occasions.   😉

The Basic Grey “Green at Heart” scallops were cut with an MFT die-namics die.  The SU Wild Wasabit cardstock scallops were also dry embossed with an SU embossing folder for a little texture.   The card base is of SU Kraft cardstock.  I hand stitched a line through the center of the luscious ribbon, pulled to gather it, tied a knot and it was so easy to lay a strip of Scor-Tape in a line and place that ruffle right where I wanted it!

The sentiment is from Inky Antics’ clear set, “Brushed Calligraphy #4“, which is a very cute birthday set.  It’s stamped in Wild Wasabi atop Neenah Classic White cardstock, shaped with Spellbinders Big Scalloped Rectangles and popped up on dimensional foam tape.

I would love for you to check out my “not a card” project over at the Really Reasonable Ribbon blog today as well.    I surely hope you enjoy my projects!   Thanks so much for spending some of your moments with me today!
