Believe & ‘Resisting’

Golly!  It seems as though Fall visited for just a few moments, then Voila!  Welcome to Winter early for this area!

Being a long-time fan of heat embossing, sometimes I see a stamp and immediately have an idea of something I would like to create with it.  Now of course … some of those ideas end up in the “not such a good idea at all” bin, a.k.a. the little trash bin under my stampin’ table.   And some ideas work out, such as this one:

This started out with my own HYCCT challenge at SCS.  Even though the sentiment would also work well for a Christmas creation, I purposely chose colors & styling totally apart from the wonderful upcoming celebration.

~ In many ways, I consider this one to be CAS (clean & simple), although CAS purists might wiggle or squirm due to the emboss resist technique.  Jump on in, and give it a try!  It isn’t really a time-taker at all.  >>>  Tex’s Tips: *1* Stamp with VersaMark.  *2* Heat emboss with clear embossing powder.  *3* Ink background with your favorite inking method.  *4*  Use this as your main project component!

This card features a generous wash of watercolor with Marina Mist ink refill and a watercolor pen.  Once this was dry, I gently ironed it on the back side atop a towel  to flatten.   There’s a little craft iron here in my stampin’ zone to make this sort of thing work out quickly, without dashing through the house for the ‘other’ iron that sees much less use!      ( Click to enlarge photo insert if you wish.)

Okay m’friends!   I’m finishing up the details on a card for lotsa-fun challege play here on Wednesday!   Hope y’all will pop in again to find some very cute & fun wintery inspiration, including participation by several stampers you probably already adore!
