Icemaggadon MDS! * A First
Hope you’re all enjoying a lovely weekend! Here in N. Texas, the sun has finally shown it’s happy face, and the temps are no longer participating in that crazy ‘polar vortex’!
Speaking of the polar vortex, my project today could fit right in with that theme, don’t you think? 😉
This happens to be my very first project using my new “My Digital Software“ from Stampin’ Up! I’m truly tickled that I’ve jumped in to this very fun form of scrapbooking. This was created for another of January’s Creative Crew challenges, CCREW0114SF (scrapbook focus). 
We were still to keep using the January wintery color scheme .. so that really lead me easily to using photos of the December ice storm that covered much of the USA (including Texas) during the month. (Don’t you just LUV it when things fall together so easily??) My big thanks to Lois Henderson for sharing her icy pines photo with me in that top photo spot! She was much braver than I when it comes to getting out there on the iciness for a fabby pic in Missouri!
The sketch was provided in the challenge, but for those of you who do not have access to the SU Demo Forums at Splitcoaststampers, here it is for you to play along with us! (No need for any Demo Forum “Police” here … we do like to invite everyone to join in the fun!) 😉
Everything I used on this 12″ x 12″ page was already included in my MDS software … except one item. I added on the ‘Winter Frost’ designer series paper download. That’s it! It was just perfect for the challenge, and since I don’t have that paper collection here in the studio, this enables me to use it whenever I wish! Yay!
Okay m’friends! That’s it for the weekend … unless something fantastically urgent pops up for sharing. However … please stay tuned for Monday’s blog post. I’m going to share a project with a new video tutorial, and I sure hope you’ll come back to be inspired!
