Yee-Haw! It’s Here at Last!!

Let’s Give a Rowdy Shout-out to “Yee-Haw”!!

Those of us who attended Inspire. Create. Share. last month were treated to a sneak-peek at a photopolymer stamp set that would soon be coming up.  And 10 of those lucky stampers got to take that baby straight on home with them!  (One of those lucky peeps happens to be very near & dear to me, too! … but … We don’t live close enough to share … …. )

Well, today is THE DAY!   It’s here, it’s available, and I couldn’t be happier about it!   I was all primed and ready to order it last Tuesday … until I was gently told that I was never going to find it on the ordering system at that time – this anxious chick was just plain too early!

So now, I’m just tickled as a cowgirl on a brand new saddle to present the snazziest new stamp set to hit the trails :   Yee-Haw!

Now you’re in for a bit of a new treat:  Melody H. is the concept artist for Stampin’ Up! who created this set!  I’m sharing the story of this set in Melody’s words below … just so you can experience her thoughts as the artist!

From Millan.Net From Melody H … Stampin’ Up! Concept Artist:

For those of you who attended convention—especially those who came to the Stamps, Ink, and Paper class— you’ll have heard the story behind this stamp set. I was given an assignment late last year to carve a stamp set with the Undefined Stamp Carving Kit for a Stampin’ Success article. “Howdy” was the first image I carved. I’m not sure why I picked that word. I’m not a country girl. I’m not a fan of country music. I do love to say “howdy.” Maybe it’s just my attempt to spice up “hello.” Whatever the reason, it was the spark that lit the inspiration fire that resulted in the Yee-Haw Photopolymer Stamp Set.

I had a lot of fun doodling this stamp set. I knew I wanted some imagery to go with all of the fun sentiments. The lasso is probably my favorite piece and was designed to fit around Howdy, Rootin’ Tootin’, and Yee-Haw.

My second favorite image is the sheriff’s badge. The “sheriff” sentiment was purposely left separate from the badge so that you could easily write in someone’s name, then pin it to a shirt or bandana. It also makes an adorable tag for a gift.

This stamp set isn’t just for Texans, although I know a few who will love it (Erica, Lydia . . .)! Here are a few samples that show how the images can be used to make a soft, pretty card or a sweet little card for a baby shower, a fun thank you note for a friend, or a colorful celebration card.

I had so much fun creating and then playing with this set. I hope that you will, too. Now mosey on over to the online store and buy yourself one . . . and one for a friend, too!
