A Star is Born!

Published by at 12:30 am under Rubbernecker,SCS Challenges

Ohhhhh, how I remember the feeling …   …  I was blessed to feel it twice   … A Star is Born!

Many years after my ‘own’ feeling, I’m truly tickled to use this sentiment in a special greeting for someone much newer into the world … into my family that I didn’t really know about until very recent years.   Let’s just say that I’ve been very recently blessed, and am also blessed to discover & meet precious new people in my life.   One of them, is brand-spankin’ new!  I hope her Mommy & Daddy will like this.  It was inspired by the FS196 challenge at Splitcoaststampers.   Thankfully, it caused me to ink up a new-to-me stamp for this very purpose.   Welcome to a brand new darlin’ baby girl!!

Welcome to the world, darling new baby!   (I’m just not at all sure of the proper spelling .. but I promise that her name is delightful!)  The card has an easy ‘vintage’ feel, largely in part to the papers I’ve used (a.k.a. hoarded) by Crafty Secrets.  Yes, I did add my own machine stitching to the edges, but ‘faux stitching’ is also apparent on the Crafty Secrets paper.  Texture was added with my Cuttlebug to the “tag layer”.  The “banner” ….. that’s simply hand-cut.  C’mon … you ‘can’ do it too!     😉

Here’s to a beautiful new week of Fall ahead for all of us!  If you live in the USA … and didn’t remember to set your clocks back for the time change … this is your subtle reminder to do so …. We’re back in ‘real time’ now, for a few months.    {I shall try not to complain … I so adore the longer summer days!!!}       😉
