Passionate Circles & Challenge

This is somewhat of a first for me, but I just couldn’t resist Beate’s weekend challenge!   I’ve always been a fan of the “Simply Circles” stamp set, and am so sad to see it retiring at the end of June.  When I saw Beate’s weekend challenge on her blog, “Fresh & Fun”, the sketched circle image just seemed to pull me right in.

My Only Orange card base was cut 5.25″ x 10.5″, producing a 5.25″ square card to fit Stampin’ Up!’s medium square envelopes.  All circle images are from the “Simply Circles” stamp set.  The background for the scalloped circle, Pink Passion layers, and button backs were stamped with one of my all-time fav stamps, Canvas background.  The sentiment is from “Everyday Flexible Phrases”.  To continue to feel of the circles, I’ve notched the passion layer and the tab with my S.U. Notched Corner Punch.  Details were added to the circle layers with the White Signo Gel Pen.  Finally, Stampin’ Up! Clear Buttons create the contrast embellishment.  No specialty thread here, as I used basic orange sewing thread.  Whew!  Sometimes being a ‘keeper of everything’ is a good thing!

Gorgeous card!! It’s so bright and passionate! I especially love how you made the whole focal image out of the circles, so creative! I think I’ve always used them as the background. I hate to see this set go too. 🙁
