Froggie for a Boy

Froggie for a Boy outs 500×387

I have a friend at SCS whose little 4-year old son is facing a scary surgery.  So, I decided he could use a froggie to cheer him on his way.  Looking back, he probably could do without the pink spots, but alas, this little froggie goes out the door …. there’s no going back.

I know that the young man is hoping for his own mail, so I personalized the card with his name inside.  In doing so, I discovered how much I enjoy the Short Order Alphabet from Stampin’ Up!  I love the clean lines, and the just-right size for this application!

What are some specifics?  I punched out the letters of his name with SU’s 3/4″ circle punch.  Layered beneath his name are a few Cuttlebugged ovals of Always Artichoke.    Our 1 & 1/4″ and 1 & 3/8″ circle punches were used for the sentiment inside.  The lilypad is acutally a large Coluzzle circle, also pressed with the Cuttlebug Swirls embossing folder, with my guesstimated use of scissors to create the v-slit in the lilypad.   To give his eyes and the fly a little ‘pop’, I’ve used Crystal Effects.   I enjoy using basic twine, so I chose it for the closure of the side-fold card.

Wish me luck!  I’m going to have to figure out how to upload 2 photos for 1 post on this one!  Let me just apologize in advance if it takes me a couple of flubs first.  *grin*
