Carte Postale on Brocade Sketch
I couldn’t resist making a card for Beate’s weekend challenge. My new Brocade Background DS paper is still ‘hoping’ to be used more, so I’ve tried to comply. *wink* For me, this exploration into darker colors has been somewhat of a new challenge in itself, but I think I’m actually enjoying the bit of change!
Embellishments are limited here to Vintage Brads, and my own doodling, with a Chocolate Chip marker. My DH commented, “But it doesn’t have ribbon!” You see, for a long time he has taken a little pleasure in pointing out how many hand-made cards have ribbon … as though we stampers cannot create a card without at least a wee bit of ribbon peeking out somewhere!
Thanks for the challenge, Beate! I enjoyed this sketch!
Card Recipe: Stamps: Carte Postale. Papers: Brocade Background Designer Series 12×12 (New), Chocolate Chip C/S, River Rock C/S. Ink: Craft Chocolate Chip. Accessories: SU Mat Pack, 1/16″ punch, Vintage Brads, Chocolate Chip Marker, Coluzzle.

Tell Ron it doesn’t ‘need’ ribbon. It’s stunning, just the way it is….
