“Dare to Be “… Photo Wallet!

Published by at 11:47 pm under Other Than Cards,Stampin' Up! Projects

Photo Wallet Fab 640

What is this?  This is a ‘photo wallet’!  Basically, it is a fold up “wallet” for at least 3 photos, with room for journaling or double-pictures, whatever your pleasure!  Have you tried the new S.U. textured cardstock?  Let’s just say that I am now ordering the color families that I hadn’t already ordered.  It is delightful!  And what a perfect choice for this type of project!   This new cardstock has a great new tactile texture on both sides, and as with SU’s other colored cardstocks, the true color goes all the way through the cardstock with no “white” in the middle.

(Wallet below is open … Click to enlarge.)                               Photo Wallet Fab open550

This wallet is open vertically.   When closing, the bottom portion just folds up to the middle.  Then that folds upward once more.  Close the top flap, and slide the “belt” back on as the closure!   One of the reasons this is better than a “real” wallet is that you’ll only need to put a few photos inside,Photo Wallet Fab openall 550×277 rather than money!  *wink*

When all 3 inner flaps are open, you’ll see the area on which you will mount your photos.  Mount a photo on the base surface and journal on the inside flap, or mount a 2nd photo on the inside flap for double-goodies to share!  I will plan to add a complete tutorial to this after my return from Stampin’ Up!’s convention.   No matter the occasion, these will make delightful gifts by simply changing the colors and stamps to suit the event and/or the recipient!  So, get out some fav photos, and surprise someone special with a photo wallet!

RecipeStamps:  ‘Fabulous Flowers’, ‘Linen’, and ‘Weathered’.     Cardstock:  Textured Earth Elements 12×12 (Close to Cocoa), Brocade Blue, Wild Wasabi, Whisper White.   Ink:  Brocade Blue, Close to Cocoa, Wild Wasabi, and Craft Close to Cocoa.   Accessories:   Pretties Kit, Crafter’s Tool Kit, Spring Bouquet Punch, Wild Wasabi Stitched ribbon, dimensionals, 2-way Glue, Photo Corners Punch, and Dazzling Diamonds glitter.

I love the flower on the wallet. I saw it in the new catalog and am wondering if it was difficult to cut out? I love to cut and layer.
