Fabulous Pomegranate!
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! I can honestly say that these are “in the mail”, heading for a swap! One of my sweet downline (Sherry), gave me her “nod” on this one today, and I’ve sent them on their way to Washington for swap dispersal, and will have more for convention swapping. *wink*
This one is simple, basic stamping with no special techniques or trade tricks .. just honest to goodness rubber stamping and assembly of the card elements. Because this is for a swap, I opted not to cut layers for each flower. However, I still wanted the blossom to have some ‘pizzaz’, so it’s stamped on Shimmery White cardstock. If you’ve never tried the shimmer cardstocks, I would certainly encourage you to do so. Like Mikey says …. “Try it … you’ll like it!” *wink* The shimmery characteristics even come right through the dye-based inks, so the entire blossom is full of elegant shimmer. For continuity, the sentiment is also stamped on shimmery white.
I’m not sure how well these ‘faux leaves’ will travel in the mail, so I’ll advise that when received, just pinch the ends to add a bit of shape again.
