Just A Peek! * Mass Production!

Mass Production Bronc swaps undone

This is it!  This has been my task during the recent days.  As you can see, I still have one more step in the assembly of these convention swaps …. and I’m leaving on Tuesday!  Yikes!   Last night has never ended, as I worked straight through, singing to the radio.  (I still can’t figure out the words to some of those songs!!)  These are merely stacked together, ready for adhering the image layers on the cardfront layers.  The sticking will be tonight’s task.  For now, I’m off to the cutting table.  Time to get more pieces cut & ready to stamp for a different swap card with a different set.   **wink**

Is anyone else out there stampin’?!  Turn on the your favorite music and stamp on, girlfriends!!

I see everyone doing these cards, are they just for display, do you turn them into card fronts? And most of all where do you enter these swaps?

  2. Hello Amy!

Although I’ve emailed you separately, perhaps posting my reply will help someone else to understand the mysteries of card swaps. *wink*

I found your question to be very understandable for stampers who are not demonstrators!

A big reason that you’ve been noticing a lot of stampers recently working on swaps is that Stampin’ Up!’s annual convention is being held in Denver, beginning Wednesday of this week. As we demonstrators flood the city for 3 days of classes, we will also be eagerly swapping as many cardfronts as we each care to take along with us.

In general, we do not make full cards for swapping, but rather only the front of the proposed card. We do this as a means of sharing ideas and inspiration to take back home to our respective Stampin’ Up! businesses. It’s a traditional and very fun part of most Stampin’ Up! events.

The other reason you’ve been seeing so many swaps lately has a lot to do with the fact that Stampin’ Up! has just recently released the new catalog for 2007-08, called “Fall & Winter Collection”. Demonstrators love to swap with other demos in order to collect lots of samples to show customers, featuring a wide variety of stamp sets that the demo doesn’t necessarily have at home. We truly love what we do!

I hope this helps to explain this seemingly strange behavior of some stamping “addicts”, such as myself! LOL Thanks for visiting!
