Make a Splaaaash!!
Hanna will soon be making a “splash” of her own, with the new “Rainy Days” set to be released tomorrow, Friday, November 16, at Hanna Stamps! Even though Hanna herself isn’t apparent on this card … she’s just taking a splash to relax before the next debut tomorrow!
The layout for this “splash” is from the SCS Sketch Challenge this week, SC150. I knew I needed a different perspective in order to keep the layout as close as possible to Rox’s sketch. The sentiment is printed from the computer, punched, and layered atop a metal-edge tag. The angle of photography seems to add a color to the metal tag, but in reality, the metal is silver, as is the umbrella handle. I’ve added ‘Fun Flock’ to the dots and to the little worm.! He’s “fuzzy”! The ‘Stampendous Fun Flock’ was purchased at eclectic Paperie … and is available in a variety of fun colors! Dazzling Diamonds glitter adds it’s own brand of “splash” to the splash droplets and the image borders.

For some reason, this card does cause me to think of my friend and fellow design team member, Valerie Stangle (a.k.a. 11Valerie11). She lives close enough to the beaches in Southern California that I know she & her family can take a short “get-away” weekend to enjoy the sun & sand from time to time. I’ll be preparing for an incredibly FUN stamping and visiting excursion now, as I’m traveling to Madison, Wisconsin on Friday morning! Yeeeeehaaaaawwwww! I’ll be rooming with one of my dearest friends, stamping with more precious friends, and attending a scrapbooking/stamping convention on Friday night and Saturday. I can hardly stand the wait! In the meantime, I have a few things to pull together for our shoebox swap, etc. The word here in Texas is …. “No time to waste!” LOL I’ll return to Texas on Sunday.
