Peeking at “Celebrations”! * Valentines Day Candy Swirls!
Valentine’s Day will be here before we know it! Remember how quickly Christmas arrived? One of the best things about Valentine’s Day is the romanticism. Another is the “fun” … who doesn’t enjoy the memories of those Valentine’s bags & hearts & sharing when we were in school?!
Here’s a second “peek” at part of the upcoming Hanna Stamps “Celebration Set” stamp set! The layout comes from the Featured Stamper challenge this week at SCS. This week features “dlounds”. It’s actually a gift card holder, with 2″ folded up on the inside bottom edge to create a pocket for holding a gift card .. or a thin piece of chocolate or other sweet ideas!
The bottom edge was scalloped with my corner rounder before embossing with the Cuttlebug. (I have truly become a fan of the Cuttlebug in recent months!) Brilliance White pigment ink was DTP’d across the embossed areas to bring it out visually. The candies were colored with Copics and dressed up a bit with a Spica glitter pen. The Spica was also used to add some interest to the candies stamped on the Cocoa layer. I always enjoy using Shimmer paper … and Valentine’s seems like a perfect “excuse” to use it again! *wink* I’ve lifted the candy box lid with dimensionals … ready to reach in!
