Always * Redbird

Always Redbird 649 CC149

I’m very happy to have the new “Always” stamp set.  I chose it knowing that I would try to create swaps as well as class projects with it.  One of the sweetest blessings of being so involved in rubber stamping is the friends that I have found along this delightful journey.  I’ll be swapping with some of my friends this month, and I’ve been working to produce the swaps & get them ready to mail out to their new owners.  What do I get in return?  Delightful and creative swaps from awesome stamper friends!   I’m getting so excited  …  receiving a variety of creations from other talented stampers is like opening a present!!

Always Redbird enMasse 475As you can see in the second picture, I’ve got lots more to finish after I write this article.  I didn’t want to skip another day without a peek at part of what’s on my table these days …. but there’s actually LOTS more!  This is the only peek for tonight though.  I want to get these finished up so I can clear this stamping mess and get back to the others!  hahaha

Colors for this project were actually the Color Challenge this week at SCS, CC150!  I knew as soon as I went to my cardstock collection that I would be able to use this combo for my swap.  Sometimes the elements seem to fall together so easily … but not always, as you probably know.  I’ve used the Soft Sky DSP, and some light emboss resist around the embossed bird image.  The sentiment is also embossed, although my photo didn’t really capture that element clearly.  If you look carefully, you’ll see that all 4 stamps used for this card are from the same “Always” stamp set.  That’s the beauty of stamp “sets”!  If you’re interested in a class using this set or any others, or hoping for a lesson for you & your friends on embossing, please email me!  It’s easy, fascinating, and beautiful!
