Fabulously Teal!

Fabulous Flower Teal SC161 px540

Ahhhhhhhhhh!!  This week’s sketch challenge at SCS (SC161) just seemed perfect for another opportunity to use the Stampin’ Up! ‘Fabulous Flowers’ set.  The large floral image is so easily cut out for layering.  If you haven’t tried it, please take a few minutes just to give it a chance!  *wink*   My color choices were led by the retired SU designer paper that I chose.  I’ve always enjoyed teal paired with pink and it seemed to work well with this paper.  That’s one thing I need to get better at doing … using more & more of my retired papers for personal stamping.   I added the glitter to the edges and allowed to dry before placing the layers together.  Tex’s Tip:  For this blossom, I am always happier with the results when I apply the ink with a brayer.  The image is large, and the brayer allows a smooth ink application without the lines that occur from tapping & tapping against the ink pad.      I hope you enjoy!  Please just let me know if you would like your own Fabulous Flowers set!

  7. Thanks for the offer to help with the worm. I am okay, Kristi will send me a new rainy day set. I am just ticked off about it. I hate to lose things, it drives me mad, and then to lose the worm..of all the cute little stamps! I have my own scrap/stamp area and I had the worm out, nicely laid aside as I was about to use him, and then, *PooF* he was gone.

I have gone through the trash, stamp sets, paper pile, you ame it and I have checked and double checked. Dagnabit!
