Topiary Roses & Scallops
One of the fun ways to discover & use new-to-you ideas in stamping is to participate in challenges. I remember how intimidating that seemed when I was a beginner stamper, but it really can be enjoyable, and can often encourage one to try new styles or techniques. Hanna Stamps’ Friday Challenge today is to create a card using scallops .. Scallops with Nestabilities, scissors, punches … just incorporate scallops into the design! This topiary image is just one of the stamps found in the newly released “Small Breeds” set! (Click on the photo for a larger view.) It includes a dachshund, Chihuahua, Terrier, Boston Terrier, Pug, Yorkie, plus a leash segment, leash loop, tennis ball and favorite dog “sayings”!
After layering the scalloped ovals, I added paper piercing on both layers, as well as in the top corners of the card and the horizontal row of scallops. The sentiment is from the “Things Hanna Would Say” set. I hope you enjoy!

Bev, this all works so well together! I thought that you MUST have stamped the background since it’s a perfect fit, but I saw the Flair in your writeup–great coloring too!
