“Passport, Please!”

 Passport Cover 640

For those of you who travel abroad, here’s a reminder built into a passport ‘cover’!   This Thursday night at midnight, EST, Hanna Stamps will release two new stamp sets.  “Passport Hanna” is one of the two sets.  While I have done some traveling across the USA, I have never needed a passport.  Therefore, my project sizes are just pure guesswork, starting from a purse-sized calendar.

The cover/pouch was 7″ X 8.25″, scored at 3 & 7/8″ and 7 & 3/4″.  This created a 1/2″ flap which is used as the flap to close the cover, creating a flat “tube”.  After adhering the bottom edges, I used the paper crimper to add some texture & interest at the bottom.  The semi-circle opening at the top is created by taking a small ‘bite’ from the top with a circle punch.  I used less that 1/2 of the punch for this semi-circle.  Passport Cover CloseUp 640The belt was custom-fit around the outside, with a 1 & 3/4″ strip of coordinating cardstock and patterned paper.  The Eiffel Tower image was stamped with Going Gray dye ink, and the sentiment was stamped with Night of Navy.   I plan to be back tomorrow with more to coordinate with this project!  Hope you enjoy!

Project Recipe:  STAMPS–>> Passport Hanna.  PAPERS–> Prism Twilight Dark, Old Olive, Shimmer White, Scenic Route – North Shore collection.  INKS–>>  Versamark pad, Going Gray, Night of Navy ink and marker.  ACCESSORIES–>> Twill, Gold EP, Gold brad, Corner Rounder punch, Paper Crimper, Scor-Pal.

    Hi Bev!

I love your blog. Your pictured look beautiful!! I’m going to check out lighting today. My OTT light is pretty bright so I don’t think it is just a 25 watt bulb. I’m adding you to my blogroll, too, if that is okay.

    Thanks!
