Faux Painting, Anyone?

Hanna Faux Paints 600“Tool Time Hanna” has been busy doing a special faux painting technique on her walls.  The colors are from the HSCAPR2 Challenge in the Hanna Stamps forum at SCS.  I haven’t used Perfect Plum in such a long time, and it felt good to create with it again.

As I look at it now, this card has a few “firsts” for me!  It’s my first “tall” card, designed to fit a regular #10 long, business-sized envelope.  I just felt like I needed the space to create the effect of a wall & wainscoting.   The base card is 7 & 3/4″ X 9 & 1/4″.   Even though I have had these Prima flowers for a long time, it’s the first time for me to actually use any on a project at all!  (Okay,. so I don’t always just jump onto a trend .  I guess I have to wait on some of them.)  LOL  The plum-colored brads are actually silver brads embossed with Craft Perfect Plum ink and clear embossing powder.    Hanna’s paint rag was created by wetting a small piece of cardstock, wadding it up, and using the heat tool to dry it.    Oh yes … DH has already told me that we are not painting anything these colors in the house!  hahahaha

Card Recipe:  STAMPS>> ‘Tool Time Hanna’, ‘Things Hanna Would Say’ (both from Hanna Stamps).   PAPERS>>  Always Artichoke, Going Gray, Pale Plum, Perfect Plum, Georgia Pacific White.   INKS>>  Pale Plum, Palette Noir, Perfect Plum, Craft Perfect Plum, Copic Markers.  ACCESSORIES>>  Clear Embossing Powder, Cuttlebug, Heat Tool, Little Davis Chipboard Corners, Prima flowers, Sponge.
