Arrrrggghhhhhhhhhhhh!! Saying “Howdy” to Rubbernecker Stamp Company!

Published by at 6:53 pm under Rubbernecker,SCS Challenges

Arrrrggggghhhhh!!  What a day in Texas!  I’m delighted to shout “Howdy!” to Rubbernecker Stamp Company today, as I’ve been invited as a Guest Designer!   Additionally, Juliana Swanson (Julesiana @ SCS) is joining as a Guest Designer!   I am truly tickled to be teaming with this group of awesome talent!   Now this “Howdy!” has taken the whole day to present … as I have been battling the “blue screen” on my computer.  Finally, my terrific DH has made a bit of room for me to work in his office, and use his computer.  Thanks, Hubby!   So here we go!  Welcome aboard, everyone!

Arrrrrrr ye mateys, it be a Tuesday and ya know what that means. It’s Treasure Hunt Tuesday at Rubbernecker Stamp Company. Put ye swashbuckling skills to the test and plunder all the treasure that be waitin’ fer ya. Set sail along with me mates and join us fer the first clue. Along ye way, there are a few ports ya need be stoppin’ at. There be some extra Smiley from millan.net to be found today – set sail now and visit Shelly and Tami! After ye stops there, head on over to Rubbernecker where ye will find the first clue and more deets on how ya may claim ye bounty! Smiley from millan.net You’ll also want to take note that the Ranger Adironack Pigment Pads and Reinkers are on sale. While ye are sailing around today, make sure ye stop and visit the rest of me mates, Sherry,  Kittie, Candy, BroniLinda, and Juliana.

Now to catch up with the happenings in Texas, I was so blessed last week to have several very cool stampin’ buddies staying here.  We had such fun and learned/shared many things.  “BadSherry” taught us her unique brand of distressing, and I was itching to use it on my first Rubbernecker creation.  So, I combined distressing with the TLC180 challenge over at SCS.

The card layout is called a “spring” card, as challenged over at SCS in the TLC180 challenge.   Just to add some extra interest, I stamped 3 of the images on acetate, colored with Copic markers, then layered the acetate over a thoroughly distressed Halloween tree.   Now trying to photograph the acetate layer was a challenge of its own!  After many attempts, I opted to do a close-up of the acetate images.  On the full card photo, it “seems” that the images were stamped atop lower images.  In truth, it’s merely the shadow cast downward from the images on the acetate.  Hopefully the close-up view is helpful.   RN Halloween spring closeup 400×342
