Lights .. Camera .. Action in Texas!!
Yaaaaay! Lights, Camera, Action … … at last! Recently I was blessed to have several delightful stampers spend a few days with us here in Texas! Did we stamp? Of course!! But, when in Texas, one should see a bit of Texas, and so we did. I have so many pics to share!
Behind us is the former School Book Depository in Dallas, TX, from which Lee Harvey Oswald is said to have shot President John F. Kennedy. The actual window is the square window seen in this photo right above Kristi’s head, in the 2nd floor from the top of the building. Now, the building is a museum, with many artifacts and photos, plus an audio recording to guide you along the way. L ->R are Shannon, Tex, Judy, Kristi, Pam, and Sherry, all from Hanna Stamps!
After taking the museum tour, you find the “grassy knoll” outside, along with an “X” painted on the street to mark the location of the deadly shots. It’s always very eye-opening, and definitely perks up the controversial conversation. L-R: Shannon, Kristi, Bev, Pam, Sherry, & Judy.

Of course, all sight-seeing and no stamping is not acceptable protocol for a gathering of stampers! Here, BadSherry shared her coloring & distressing skills with Piris. No worries! We all got our turns!

We all had fun with soldering. I know I heard more than one guest comment on the fact that it is ‘addicting’! It was such a treat to watch friends learning & sharing in the fun. Here’s Shannon working on her first creation!

Piris made a delightful Halloween pendant, using a super-cute scrapbook paper as an integral element. She has such a way with paper! It might have been Imaginese … but I could be mistaken.

Judy taught all of us how to make darling bracelets with SU’s ‘Build-a-Brads’! She is such a clever & talented lady. Thank you, Judy! Jessica stopped by to share in the fun too!

Honestly … I think the pleasure was non-stop. We were rarely quiet, and practically always smiling! This pic of Judy & Kristi pretty much expresses the atmosphere.
I’ll share one more group of pics later this week, as Hanna Stamps also visited Fort Worth! Yeeeeeehaaaaaaaw!
I think I’ve just posted a record-length post for me .. yikes! Y’all come back now! Thanks for stopping by!

Oh Yeah we have pics! Tex what a great time I had and you and Ron and just so gracious! Love ya!
wow, this looks like it was soooo much fun! What a great gathering!
Sure looks like everyone had a great time. I’d love to know what the clear containers are that are holding your markers in the third photo. There is a big discussion on SCS about how to best store markers and pencils. Your system looks like a good one.
Glad you are having fun.

What fun you all must have had! Thank you for sharing these pictures and stories with us readers.
Hi Graciesgram!
Thanks for your sweet comments on my blog!
The clear containers are Copic Boxes, designed for each type of Copic markers. I purchased mine from http://www.eclecticpaperie.com . These are very convenient, and come in a couple of different sizes to suit your needs. Sweet week to you!
