Today’s card is a little bit back to the country! Initially, all of the edges were clean & sharp. Then I just had to get a little bit of distress action. Ahhhhh, I needed that … just a wee touch from the Tonic Paper Distresser and some Distress Ink. The olive paper seemed a bit bare … so I improvised a quick background. Versamark ink dabbed onto a wad of crumpled waxed paper was just what I needed to add some depth to the olive panel! The birthday image is stamped directly onto the printed paper, then colored with a single Copic marker. Finally, I enjoy the occasional opportunity to use a bit of twine … I guess it takes me to the country in some way. I hope you have a terrific Tuesday!
Project List: STAMP > ‘Wood Plank Happy Birthday’ (Hey! It’s on sale!). INK > Ranger Distress Ink – Old Paper, Versamark, Palette Noir, Copic YR24. PAPERS > Bo Bunny Tuscany Stripe, SU Old Olive, Riding Hood Red, & Summer Sun, Daisy D’s. ACCESSORIES >> Tonic Paper Distresser, SU Vintage Brads, Hodgepodge Hardware, Twine, Waxed Paper, 3D-Dots.

Very clever and creative, Bev! I probably would never have used that sentiment as the focus on a card but you pulled it all together. Love the background, too! Just FABULOUS!
Great idea for adding texture, Bev! Love the Versamark / waxed paper idea.
