A First Thanksgiving! * Blogger’s Challenge #3

Published by at 7:19 am under Rubbernecker

RN Indian Grl 413×525Welcome to Wednesday!   Would you like to participate in a fun challenge?!  Today’s Blogger’s Challenge #3 from Rubbernecker is to use embellishments on your creations!  Well, this little image has just been waiting for the right time to get ready for her debut here at Savor the Journey.  I decided that beads can also be an embellishment, since she clearly needed beadwork on her moccasins.  And once you have your beaded moccasins, it’s only right to accessorize with a beaded headband as well … she’s going to her first Thanksgiving after all!

The beading was a pretty quick process.  I gathered tweezers, a toothpick, a small piece of waxed paper, Diamond Glaze, and my colored image.  I dropped a small dollop of glaze on the waxed RN Indian grl moccbeads 300×236paper, then used the tip of the toothpick to pick up a wee bit of the glue and transfer it to precisely the spot for the bead.  Tweezers are so handy when placing these small beads!  I’m sure I’ll try this again someday.

Be sure to check out the Rubbernecker blog to join us for Blogger’s Challenge #3!   Please link your challenge creation in the comments, so we can feature them on our blogger’s article next week!
