Individual Storage / Easy-Seek Issues?

SC Storage Id’s 485×401

As stampers, I suspect that many of us are in a semi-constant state of  ‘reorganization’ when it comes to our supplies.  Whether or not that applies to you, it definitely applies to me.   (As I write, I have submitted another order for organizational items online.  Long live new ideas for organization!)   As you can see, I do enjoy using stackable, self-contained systems, particularly for my unmounted stamps, etc.  These allow me to easily carry a collection of items to my stamping table, where I can later select the perfect stamps or embellishments for an on-going project.  Now, these compartments have received a face-lift that actually applies to the way I use the unmounted stamps inside!  Yep!  This is currently my preferred method of storing unmounted stamps.   Unmounted versus wood-mounted?   Here’s a good comparison.  Please keep in mind that I do have an immense collection of wood-mounts.  I’m not promoting one over the other so much as I am giving an honest peek at unmounted storage comparison.   In this seasonal example, I am also employing “color” to assist me in planning for holiday items as compared to non-holiday collections!  The moral?  Create your own system that speaks specifically to you!    I would love to see your interpretations of individual storage id’s.

These clear upper case letters are SO easy to use.  Each one is stackable to the next, and come with a self-contained see-thru box.  But for me, the best advantage is in the fact that each & every letter is so easilylined up!  Why?  Each stamp is mounted on a perfectly clear, interconnecting stamp block!  These are by far, the easiest alphabet stamps to use that I own.  No kidding.  You’re invited to come back to link your own photos of identifying segments of your own collections!   Sharing .. ..  It’s truly one of the best parts of stamping!  Thanks for stopping by … Here’s a wish for a fabulous weekend to all!

STAMPS >>   Clear Upper Case Letters .. (The Stamp Castle) .  INKS >>  Ranger Adirondack Bottle, Butterscotch, Lettuce, Raspberry, & Watermelon.  Papers >> Georgia Pacific White C/S.  ACCESSORIES >>  None needed!~  These stamps are so easy to line up without assistance!  Love that!

Lovely. I’ll have to reorganize my stuff too because we are moving to our new apartment sometime before Christmas where I will not be allowed to have art supplies all over the place. No storing space will not be an excuse anymore because I’m going to build it with my own hands so I have to plan it very well.

Pretty sleek if you ask me! TFS. If I can walk around in the pit without having to raise my feet more than a mere 6 inches, I’ll be doing good 🙂

Bev, great ideas for storage. I just told a friend yesterday that I have to get a better way of storing my stamps. I am adding more it seems every week and my space doesn’t see to be growing. Thanks for the pictures to see how you are doing it.

my storage system? plastic grocery bags!!! 😀 not really, but some days it feels like it. my stamping room is so crowded that I am constantly stepping over things and digging through stuff and making sure that this stack doesn’t topple over onto that stack………… well, you get the picture!

thanks for letting me dream that someday it MIGHT get better! 😉

Love that your shared your ideas. I feel I’m always trying a new organization idea to make more room and then I fill up the new space – ha ha!

I love UM although like you have a lot of wood mounted. I keep my UM rubber in CD cases because I have way too many to even just put them in a few stackables. I stamp the images on a paper index and then label the spine. They are stored in baskets I bought with a set of book shelves from a Home Depot store two years ago. These baskets were designed to fit the entire shelf length.
