BOO!

Okay … I’ll admit it.  I haven’t purchased a Halloween stamp set this year, and gave away the SU set that I had last year.  Well here it is … Halloween season again!  Eeeeeeek!

Time to sit under the thinking cap.  BOO!  That’s it!  BOO!  My ‘Short Order Alphabet’ was called into stamp action as the beginning element.  Every project requires a starting idea!  Sometimes I just stamp images on paper to start the process.  This time, I literally started stamping ‘Boo’, ‘BOO’, ‘boo’, in varied colors until I decided the lettering would be in black, while the layers would include other colors.  Somewhat later, I realized that the ‘polished stone’ technique would provide the background I wanted.  Even farther into the ‘play’, I decided that it needed ‘more’ … enter the long-loved “Lovely as a Tree” image.   The rest is history!  I used only two inks in the polished stone layer … Pumpkin Pie Classic Refill and Encore Gold refill.

The moral of this story?  If you do not have a traditional Halloween set … you can create Halloween cards, tags, & wraps.  Voila! … …  errrr … I mean … BOO!
