RN Bells 2fld chllng2 crt510×393

Hello there, everyone!  It’s my pleasure to present our Rubbernecker Bloggers’ Challenge #8  ( RNBC9 ) !   In previous challenges we have been treated to a splendid sketch by Tami Mayberry, and, among other challenges, one of my favorite techniques, paper-piecing.  Today, I’m challenging everyone to use “2 or more folds” in our creations!   Ideas that come to mind quickly include pocket folds, joy-folds, tri-folds, double-pocket cards, etc.   The overall design simply needs to include a minimum of 2 folds.

My card utilizes one of my favorite layouts, the joy-fold style.  I’m not sure whether or not others created it earlier, but one of the first times I saw this fold was courtesy of Valerie Stangle, a talented SCS Dirty Dozen Alumni.  This card is also found in the resources section of SCS, under “Joy-Fold”.  I enjoy this card style a lot, and if you try it, you might discover a new fav as well!  Please come back to my blog to post a link to your creation, or else post a comment and a link on the Bloggers’ Challenge thread on our Rubbernecker Blog.  We love to see your work, as well as post it on our RN blog later as well!

RN Bells 2fod frntbells 375×340The bells image was stamped with Distress Inks Emboss Pad, then embossed with gold embossing powder.  Colors were carefully added with Copic Markers, and a few touches with a Spica Gold marker.  This image was layered atop the right-fold segment of this card, as shown in the photo.

I hope that you are inspired to join us in this Bloggers’ Challenge #8!   The design team at Rubbernecker hopes to inspire  you to use your stamps and supplies.  If there are techniques, styles, products, etc. that you would like to see us present to you, please please feel free to tell us here, or via email.  We all appreciate hearing from you!
