On Time with Happy Thanksgiving Wishes!!

Riley PJ’s frnt 515×433 SC204

However, I’m a bit “off-time” with posting my SCS Sketch Challenge, SC204, creation for this week!    Whew!  It’s wild & crazy around here if you’re hosting a holiday dinner for the family, or prepping to travel, or both, or any of an assortment of combinations here in the U.S.A.!   Please don’t tell … but I still have some dusting to finish before all of the family arrives.   Shhhhhhhhhhhhhh!   Food is ready for start time in the morning … camera battery is already charging … fresh bedding is complete for assorted & unexpected “naps” … I think we have it all … and if we missed something?    Tough!  *grin*

SC204  is such a universal sketch, that you simply ‘must’ go check it out for yourselves.  Personally, I see it as a ‘necessary’ part of the stampers’ repertoir.  It is conducive to many styles, and the average sized image, i.e. an easy to use and highly adaptable sketch.  Check it out!  My darling Riley in his PJ’s  is one of my all-time fav stamps.  I love the size, and I love the sweet feeling evoked by the image.  HS Riley PJs close SC204 375×98I have added my own thoughts in the scalloped circle … primarily because this is one of the things I said to my g’sons last week during their visit here. … “Sweet, sweet, dreams!”   It’s still on my mind after our blessing of taking care of two of our sweet g’sons recently.   And I’m pretty sure that I’ll be kissing a couple of darlings on Thanksgiving day, whispering the same, or similar sentiment in their ears at naptime.  Have I told you lately what a blessing it is to be known as “Mimi”?!   If in doubt?  Contact me!

This card is according to the SCS204 sketch.  The only additions are dew drops, and a sentiment with ribbon.  Since my Copics airbrush system is currently missing its compressor, I’ve substituted sponging.   The custom sentiment was created with my trusty JustRite ‘small letter set’.

Off-topic … but meaningful to me:  Happy Birthday, Brandon!    Our first-born arrived shortly before 4:00 a.m. on Thanksgiving morning.  My pumpkin pies were baked, & ready to take to Uncle Woody’s house, since the Doctor had advised me not to travel to my parents’ home for the holiday.  Well, the Dr. was right!  My hubby and I shared Thanksgiving dinner together at the hospital in Oklahoma City, after meeting our son!  What a great dinner it was!  Alas, Uncle Woody & Aunt Gladys had to skip the pumpkin pies that day.    *grin*

Card Recipe:  STAMPS:  ‘Sleepy Time Riley’, and JustRite’s “Small Letter Set” from the Stamp Castle.   (Be sure to check out the sale going on at The Stamp Castle!  Christmas Savings are within your reach!!)

PAPERS:  Basic Grey Wassail 6×6 pad, Prism Blush Red Dark, Always Artichoke, Neenah Solar Classic White.

INKS:  Memento Tuxedo Black, Copic Markers, Adirondack Oregano.

~To my son:  Happy Birthday, Brandon!

~To my friends and readers across the United States of America, and to those of you in the countries I simply “dream” of … I share “Happy Thanksgiving Blessings” to each and to all.  (((hugs))))

Sounds like you have everything under control at the moment….that’s good because when everyone arrives, if it’s anything like my inlaws place, it gets a little chaotic! 😀 Happy Thanksgiving Bev!!
