Gift Card Holder! * HSC45
Welcome back, everyone! Did you partake in Friday’s U.S.A. pre-dawn shopping madness?!? That’s not my style at all, as “early” is not one of my preferred words. However … my daughter can often be found at the front of those wee-hours lines with a big smile on her face and lots of hopeful ambition. (You GO girl!)
Well, here’s an excellent gift idea … maybe even for those who shopped for the item(s) they had in mind and “failed” to get that bargain. My Hanna DTeammate, Adela, has posted an excellent Friday challenge for all of us in the Hanna Stamps Forum at SCS. Our challenge? Let’s make a unique Holiday Gift Card holder. Well allllllright! What an appropriate challenge … I’m in! We hope that you will join in the challenge at the Hanna Forum on SCS as well. When you upload your gift card holder to your blog or to your SCS gallery, please go to the linked Friday Challenge (HSC45)thread, and share your link/project with all of us! (Uhhhhh …. yep! We all love eye-candy!) ***sheepish grin here***
My gift card holder is basically a top-open card with a flap folded up toward the inside, which holds the gift card. I’ve added some punched edging on the inside & outside image layer. Plus, I’ve used some buttons from my collective ‘stash’ (yay!). I don’t particularly care for “naked” buttons, so mine were threaded & tied with linen thread. Tex’s Tip: Embroidery floss is a great button-thread as well.
Ribbon is used as the closure to this gift card holder, as there could be some concern regarding the use of mini-magnets close to a gift card’s magnetized info strip. Golly… this could prove my hubby’s theory to be correct! DH continues to believe that stampers “must” include ribbon in their/our creations. Pfffffffft! I guess that I’ll let him to continue to “believe” said untruth. After all, I’ve learned to “choose” my battles. *wink* I’ve added some gloss to Hanna’s lips and her ribbon, with a Sakura clear gloss pen.
Here’s to a successful shopping and/or creating season for you! As for me, I believe that it will include ‘both’. Thanks so much for your visit today!

Gorgeous rich colours on this! Love the paper-pieced T on Hannah and the little scallopped finish on the inside flap. So delightful!
It’s gorgeous, Bev! I love the colors and DP that you used and you always do a great job explaining how to do it. The scalloped DP edge is a nice touch.
We are thankful for you.
