‘Tis the Season to be Jolly!

RN Tis the Season HCE02 515×506

My hope is that you have been enjoying a blessed Christmas with those you love.  Our children and grandsons were all here today, celebrating the birth of Christ, and the love of family.   I’m feeling incredibly blessed, and I hope that you have a similar feeling as well.

The project above was my last Christmas project of this year, inspired by and created for the challenge extravaganza at SCS.  Earlier in the week, HCE02 challenged us with these guidelines:

  • It must be a square card. … size doesn’t matter.
  • It must have scallops on it.
  • It must have a sentiment on the front, and the sentiment must have 3 or more words in it.
  • It must have ribbon as an embellishment.
  • It must not have glitter on it.   (gasp!)

My hubby insisted that the thread/stitches qualifies as ‘ribbon’ … but he does love to try to push my buttons!  haha   I don’t have burgundy Dew Drops, but clear ones were easily changed to burgundy with my trusty Copics marker. Dark Red.   White cardstock was aged with Antique Linen Distress Ink, and the Tis the Season text sentiment was inked with Aged Mahogany Distress Ink.  If you’re finding some stamping time, now that the hustle & bustle should be behind us, be sure to check out the additional challenge each day at SCS.  Just visit the main challenge forum, and scroll down to the additional list of HSC challenges.

Thank you so much for sharing moments of your time visiting Savor the Journey.  I appreciate your words, and your encouragement more than you realize.   May you savor the rest of our fleeting 2008, and look ahead to the blessings, challenges, and delights of the upcoming new year!   ~Bev
