So Thankful for You!

GK Trop Flowers FS99 469×515

I have held onto this Daisy D’s paper for a lot longer than I care to admit.  Groan  Have you ever felt that ‘zing’when you find the perfect stamps & colors & papers?  That’s how I felt about this.   After spending so much time on the holidays, I wanted to take a holiday break and participate in Sunday’s FS Challenge (FS99) at SCS, featuring ‘Stampfilled Dreams’.  I found the perfect card in her gallery to inspire this card with “Tropical Flowers”. Now the FS challenge asks us to select a card by the featured stamper, and use that as inspiration for our own new creation, with at least a couple of changes from the original inspiration.  I changed the stamps, colors, and added a sentiment to create this one.  It felt great to move entirely away from holidays for a moment.  While I might not recommend this one as a ‘card stash’ item, I do believe that I’ll be making a couple more for special needs.

I want to thank you all for your emails, your comments, and your continued following of ‘Savor the Journey’.  I’m always taken by surprise to hear from those of you who find particular inspiration or who elect to comment either publicly or privately.  I wish that I could provide even more inspiration to all of you, but I do have the goal of doing that very thing for you.  Have a blessed week out there!  We’re in the waning days of 2008 now.  I’m glad to be on the same journey with you!

~Bev

Great card Bev! It is my style of soft elegant feminine cards. At first I thought the flowers were made from a circle punch but then I realised they were a stamp. Guess what? I will try and make flowers like that at home 🙂
