“Thank You for Every Little Thing!” * Plus a Super Sale!

RN Thank You for every little crt489×520Happy Almost-New Year to you!  Are you still hustling & bustling like we are?  Here at our house, we’ve never really slowed down, except for periodic visits from an icky ‘bug’ that often seems to put a ‘drag’ on things.  Hopefully, 2009 will find us leaving that behind.   I wanted to have this project complete & uploaded for Tuesday, but when it became apparent that it wasn’t going to ‘be’ in that timeframe, I just gave into the flow, and set it for publication on New Year’s Eve.  So here we are!

If you’re familiar with Rubbernecker Stamps, you might have noticed that Mr. Rubbernecker has favored a Treasure Hunt Tuesday in the past, on which you might have participated in a wee bit of blog-hopping and, hopefully, scored the bounty of a $10 Rubbernecker Coupon.  Alas, we’re bidding ‘adieu’ to the Treasure Hunts, and instead, you’ll discover mighty sales, free stamps, and price-matching at Rubbernecker Stamps right now!  No clues, no sleuthing, no searching, just great deals on stamps & products to finish off 2008!  So please visit the Rubbernecker store to take advantage of a week-long of savings and free stamps.  Sales?!  I’ll possibly be right behind you!  My latest project for Rubbernecker is one that I think I’ll actually use several times this year.

In October, I had the sweet opportunity to work with Mr. & Mrs. Rubbernecker, along with Sherry, Joan, and Sharon at a Stamp Expo in San Antonio, TX.  Yeeeehaw!   That also gave me a chance to see many stamps IRL (in real life) that I had only seen online.  Well, this thank you stamp easily became a favorite of mine that weekend.  I adore the font, the size, the elegance … everything.

For today’s project, I’ve stamped the sentiment with olive pigment ink & embossed with clear EP, right on top of one of the designer papers I had chosen.  The embossed image was die cut with my Spellbinders die cut machine & dies, as well as the layer stamped with RN’s Baroque background stamp.  All edges were inked with Adirondack Espresso.  The lower designer paper layer was dry embossed with a Cuttlebug embossing folder, then edged with a Fiskar’s border punch.  The lower layer of celery cardstock was punched with a Stampin’ Up! Scallop border punch, pierced, then inked with the Adirondack Espresso.  After setting the image layer askew, I added an elementary ribbon on the side, still allowing the sentiment to receive focal attention.  It might look as though it took lots of time, but once you have the plan working, it really moves quickly …. unless the phone rings!   **How would I know that?!***
