New Challenges!! * Wacky Wednesday!
Please Join Us
Today, Rubbernecker unveils our new challenges – WACKY WEDNESDAY!
Each Wednesday a different Design Team Member will post a weekly challenge. Now here’s the fun part for you! We will be giving away 3 certificates each week to 3 different participants who play along. The certificates will be good for 25% off your entire order at Rubbernecker Stamps.
All you need to do to participate, is upload your card (preferably using Rubbernecker images) to any online gallery and/or blog, and post a link to the challenge blog post. In order to win, you must post a link back by Monday of the following week. Winners will be announced on Tuesdays.
You might be asking, why ‘Wacky Wednesday’? Well, for no other reason than the challenges will not be the same and are the choice of the Design Team member posting.
Sherry will be kicking the challenges off today, but in the meantime here’s a new blog button for you to copy and use if you wish!
Our first Wacky Wednesday Challenge is to create an ATC card! If you’re ‘new’ to ATC’s like I am … they are based on a 2.5″ X 3.5″ cardstock, and are intended to provide inspiration for an average card. ***At this point, I personally shuddered … *** I’m so NEW to the ATC concept!
So all ye ‘newcomers’, unite right here! *grin* My challenge sample is so simple! I’ve included the easy technique of ‘heat embossing’, added some black crystals and ribbon, and a wee bit of border punching. Ta Dah! I just love the pure appeal of Kraft cardstock, when it’s allowed to carry the design … so that’s basically where I started with this idea. KISS (Keep It Simple) at a premium! *grin* The red c/s was cut to the traditional 2.5″X3.5″ ATC size, and all other layers are minus 1/8″. Tex’s Tip: Cut the scalloped layer a bit larger than 2.5″, then punch the scallop border. Finally, trim to the proper size to layer.
Please upload the links to your entries! We’ll be giving away “3” , $25 gift certificates to Rubbernecker! Your odds couldn’t be better! C’mon along & play! Oh yes … thanks a bunch for visiting today!
