Think Spring!!! * Wacky Wednesday!

Welcome to the 2nd Wacky Wednesday!    Today’s Wacky Wednesday challenge is brought to us by Kittie Carriciolo!   The challenge is to make a card with any kind of fold other than the normal single fold card.  … uh ….. I hope mine qualifies?  Maybe not?  Yes, my base card has one fold.  But my “die-cut flap” has it’s own fold to create a cool closure.  Judges?  Do we have judges available?!  (Maybe I should call some friends??)    …. hmmmm … Guess I’ll just carry on for now.   😉

RN bunny nufold ins 450×312I created a variation of the tucked matchbook fold by adding a separate die-cut piece for the flap.  It’s secured with a staple, and the button is simply adhered atop the staple. Tex-style.   Shhhhhh!  That’s our secret!    Otherwise, I consider this to be one of my rare ‘CAS’ or Clean & Simple creations.  DDaughter  …. see that button, and the not-so-many layers?   Here’s one’s for you!  😉

This week’s SCS Color Challenge includes the colors, Almost Artichoke, Rose Red, and Black.  Well, I knew right away that I was destined to try to work with those colors, as I enjoy each one on its own.  I employed some dotted printed paper, and added a dotted background stamp to the Rose Red.  Then it seemed that the perfect button just popped out of my stash … so it came together!

We’re hoping for a rainy day here!  (Hoping & wishing!)  I hope your day is sweet as well!

Sweet Get Well Wishes to you, DSIL Sue!
