I just adore this cabin image from the new Kittie Kits – Farm Life. It reminds me a lot of the cabins I was privileged to visit during our summer Rainbow camps back home. So much fun was packed into those cabins, filled with bunkbeds and girlfriends. I’m still exploring the wonders of watercoloring. This is my second attempt this week to work with watercolor brushes, leaving the comfort zone of my Copics behind for this new self-challenge. C’mon and join me in giving yourself a ‘stretch’ challenge!
The watercolor paper was cut with my Spellbinders Labels One die before stamping and coloring. I’ve used my Tonic Distress tool to rough up the cardstock edges. The stamping on the ‘Candle Glow’ (yellowish) layer is so subtle, but it’s actually touched with a messy-on-purpose stamping of Canvas with Antique Linen Distress Ink. The dry pressure embossed layer was glanced with Color Box Chalk Ink.
Card Recipe: STAMPS >> Kittie Kits Farm Life, Kittie Kits Master, Canvas background (all from Rubbernecker).
PAPERS >> Prism Desert Coral Dark, Prism Candle Glow Medium, Basic Grey, watercolor paper.
INKS >> Ranger Distress Ink Refills – Brushed Corduroy, Fired Brick, Scattered Straw, Tea Dye, Vintage Photo, & Weathered Wood. Distress Ink Pads – Antique Linen & Peeled Paint. Stazon Jet Black.
ACCESSORIES >> Robin’s Nest Dew Drops – Mens, Ranger Glossy Accents, Lace, Spellbinders Labels One die, Spellbinders Wizard, Tonic Paper Distresser, May Arts Ribbon, heat tool, foam tape.

Bev, I love your scene and that the tree and barn images are offset and coming off on both sides of the label. Your coloring is wonderful and I feel I could walk straight up up your path to the cabin.
