Hugs & Kisses … & Wacky Wednesday #21!

Published by at 7:00 am under Ranger Art,Rubbernecker

Welcome to Wednesday … Wacky Wednesday, that is!   It’s already been an exciting week so far here in Texas, and the fun is just beginning, in my opinion.  I’ve been prepping to visit CHA in Orlando next week, so it seems that everything is running along a little too quickly!  hee hee  I’ll be meeting sweet friends from the Rubbernecker Red Hot Mommas as well as friends from many states through SCS, taking classes, and savoring the newest offerings & trends in papercrafting!  Oooops!  I’m getting ahead of myself … back to Wacky Wednesday, Tex!

This week’s Wacky Wednesday Challenge comes from Kittie!  (Yep!  I’ll see her very soon!)  Kittie has challenged all of us to use ‘circles’ on our projects.  Well … many of you know that I love circles in designs, so I was tickled.  Please come along and join us for the circles challenge at the Rubbernecker Blog this week.  You could be the lucky winner of a 40% coupon from Rubbernecker!!

RN Scuffs Circles frnt 535×438

I’ve gone back to a previous favorite of mine, using a side-fold with a shortened front.  This creates a flap that begs for some type of closure.   My choice for this one is buttons!  They’re hand-stitched to the longer back flap, just at the point where the opening flap easily tucks under the button edges when closed.    The longer flap was dry pressure embossed with a small Cuttlebug strip before  RN Scuffs Circles opng 640×626 attaching the buttons.   (Click the image to enlarge.)

RN Scuffs Circles inside 640×470  The inside was finished with left-over strips from the printed papers, and coordinating pale stamps mimicking the trio of stamps on the front.  The birthday sentiment was stamped on a pink layer, die cut, then adhered to the Tim Holtz Fragment with Glossy Accents.  It’s popped up on foam tape for added dimension.     I hope you enjoy!   For more inspiration, please feel free to visit the rest of our Rubbernecker Design Team Members blogs!    I’m going to be checking them out myself!  Have a blessed Wednesday!
