You Are My Sunshine!
Maybe if I play with this adorable ducky, we might get some of that rain here! Possibly? I know … long shot. So here in toasty Texas, where yards are a bit ‘crunchy’ and landscapes tell the tale of the long, sizzling summer, it’s always good to think positively and hope that there’s rain in the next forecast.
This didn’t exactly turn out to be as I had originally imagined, but I did try to get a good feeling of ‘rain’ . 
The lower border started with a Cuttlebug folder, then I dusted the raised bubbles with a touch of Perfect Pearls for a wee bit of shimmer. The ‘rainy’ printed paper panel was given some extra faux wetness with random dots of Glossy Accents, and dew drops were added to each layer for further add to the look. The duck was stamped, cut-out, and adhered with foam tape. Bits of Stickles glitter glue added a bit of sparkle to the boots, hat, & umbrella. And last, the sentiment is beneath a circle of ‘Fragments’ acrylic shapes. This was my card for the sketch challenge at SCS this week, SC242.
I’m planning on going out to enjoy some ‘wetness’ at the pool with little grandones tomorrow (Friday). Thanks for taking a moment of your sweet time to visit! Happy day to each of you!

So stinking cute, love that duck in his waders, the sparkle in all the right places, the dew drops work it, and the water effect is beautiful. Love this card.

This is SUPER CUTE!!!! It’s raining in my neckothewoods…. LOL I HATE rain but haven’t had any for awhile now…
I didn’t make the cut with Hanna BUMMER… but… It guarantees me play time now!!! There is a rainbow after each storm! 🙂

Doing a rain dance here!!!!!! Maybe between your adorable card and my dance we can squeeze a drop or twoof rain out of that dang old dry sky!!!!!! Our water bill was over $200.00 last month….ykles!!!! We have a green yard but empty bellies…heehee!!!
