A Batty BOO!

I will easily admit that although I sincerely enjoy papercrafting and rubberstamping, I’m really not a prolific card ‘sender’.  Perhaps because most or many of my cards go to the stamp companies, and a few are sent in for hopeful publication.   Other than that, I honestly need to be more proficient at sending cards to friends & family.  There.  I’ve confessed.   Whew!

This is a 4×4″ card, with a completed view inside as well.  RN batty boo ins 400×361  Actually, that’s my favorite way to make a card, but so often I plan to send the card to a “company” rather than a ‘person’, that I often skip that cool step.  It really is easy to just mimic a part of the card front, and allow a writing area.

The only technique I’ve used for this card is heat embossing … one of my staple favorites.  I still smile when that powder melts into a smooth liquid atop the cardstock.  Remember the first time you saw this technique demonstrated for you?  It’s still very ‘cool’!  Both the bat on the front and the ‘boo’ on the inside are heat embossed.  The little dots around the bat are from my Sakura Glaze pen.

Thanks so much for visiting today.   I appreciate hearing from all of you!  And …. we have a Blog Stroll coming up on Friday!  I hope to be back here before then, but for sure, you’ll want to be here for the Stroll!  😉

This is darling, Bev! And, ahem… I believe you have my address. Seriously, I haven’t sent out many RAKs lately, either. I do make cards for occasions when I need them, but just for no reason? — I’d like to get back to that. Most of my cards are sold… Okay, I’m going to buy some extra stamps and get some cards in the mail. So glad I stopped by today. Hope all is good in your world!
