Thinking of a Sweet Spring! … What?

I know.   We’ve barely tasted the new Autumn.  So why on earth would I be thinking of “Spring”?  The truth is, I’m blaming it on this week’s color challenge, (CC238) at SCS.   That, and the fact that I’ve had this wonderful stamp set from Our Craft Lounge sitting here, “needing” to be inked!  The color challenge is to use Going Gray, Pretty in Pink, and Sage Shadow.  To me, that says ‘Spring’!  My pear tree blossoms are white, but I know that there are some sweet fruit trees that have delicate blossoms of dainty pink.  Thus, I’ve chosen pink blossoms to send someone a very special greeting.

The little 3-D flowers were created with a flower punch, smooshed up to create dimension, and centered with pearl embellishments.  OCL orintl CC238 insd 375×323  The shimmer of the pearls seemed to insist on a satin ribbon.  It’s actually an easy layout of 5.5″ square.  Cut your base card at 5.5″ X 11″, score and create!   The interior is a very simple reminder of the colors & image, leaving room for a personal message taylored for the ‘need’ at hand.

I appreciate your visit!  I hope you’ve found some inspiration today.  Here’s to a marvelous week for everyone!

    Hi Bev.
I finally found a minute to stop by your blog. I love this card. I suppose you already know why. However I am enjoying the less busy time autumn brings. I hope I can come visit more often.
