Tagging Austin! Have a Festive Fall!
What a busy week! I can almost empathize with the squirrels scampering around the neighborhood collecting the falling acorns for their future stash. It seems that whenever I get involved in any sort of ‘mass preparation’, I tend to underestimate the total prep time. Whew! It’s a good thing that we paper-crafters tend to love what we do, eh?!
Happily, I’m prepping for the Austin Area 2009 SCS Shoebox Swap. I so enjoy meeting new friends and greeting old friends as well, so this will be a time of happy smiles, laughs, and stamping and/or chatting for hours. Lucky me! I’ll be visiting with my sweet friend, Joan (Joan Ervin of SCS, along with her DD, Holly (hbrown of SCS), and so many more old & new SCS friends! Yipppeeee! 🙂
Here’s the tag that I’ve created to attach to my door prize for the shoebox event! First, I applied various Distress Inks with Ranger sponge applicators to a manila tag. Next, water was misted onto a new fall leaf stamp from the ‘Fall Trilogy’ set, then stamped directly onto the inked tag. Step 3 was to stamp from the ‘Flourishes’ stamps with ‘Old Paper’ Distress Ink. Next … can you guess? I spritzed the tag with a mixture of water and Gold ‘Perfect Pearls, then heated to dry. After adding the sentiment and a few embellishments, it’s ready to add to the gift basket! I hope the winner of the door prize will enjoy everything! Thanks so much for stopping by to say ‘Hi’ today!
