You’re the Bees Knees!! * SSS26

RN Bees Knees SSS26 575×131

 Woooooohoooooooooooo!!  It’s Saturday, and that means it’s time for another Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge!   This week’s sketch (SSS26) incorporates a large, central circle … and I do love using circles.    I’ve long been a fan of using circles, so I’m tickled to be using this sketch.  Be sure to check it out at The Sweet Stop today, and join in the fun!

First I stamped & embossed the bees image, then die cut with my circle Nestabilities.  This helped me to determine the size for the square card … in this case, it’s a 5″ square.  After embossing and die cutting, coloring with Copics came next, followed by masking with Eclipse tape for a quick touch of air brushing around the image.

RN bees knees recyArrw 400×339(Click to enlarge, please.) RN bees knees clsArrw 350×400 This week’s challenge includes a “twist”!  The twist is that we must also include something that is ‘recycled‘.  The possibilities for using something recycled are probably as varied as each one of us.  After considering several options, I chose to use the chipboard backing from a previous tablet of legal paper.  I’ve punched the sentiment arrows from the recycled chipboard, then covered it with the same cardstock used for the card base.   The final touch for the sentiment arrows was a coating of Distress Stickles – Rock Candy.  {Tex’s Tip:  Distress Stickles really need to be spread out across your item and allowed to dry!  Their special glitz is revealed ‘after’ drying, in this thin layer.  Try it … you’ll see!}

Here’s to a fabulous Fall weekend to each of you!  My wish for you is to have the blessings of fellowship with family and/or friends.  I’ve already started off with some of the same here, and hope to include even more.  I appreciate your visit and your ‘Howdy’ when you find the extra moment!  Savor your weekend!

Be sure to check out the rest of the ‘Sugar Babies samples of this delightful sketch!  I think you’ll be glad that you did!  😉
