Happy New Year … … from “Maurice”!

Published by at 12:01 am under Cuttlebug Fun,Rubbernecker,SCS Challenges

Welcome to the new decade, everyone!  Here’s a frosty greeting from “Maurice” the snowman!   He really fits right in these days, as so many of us in the stamping & blogging world have been feeling the frosty bite of cold temps and snows throughout December.  I’m thinking we’ll be seeing more during January as well.  I’ve definitely been sticking to the ‘inside’ a lot more than I might like, but I know it’s a lot colder in other places for sure.

This is really a quick style for any card, and gives the opportunity to play with your dry embossing folders as well.  Snowman images simply do not require as much coloring as other items, so that part was a snap as well!  I thought this particular choice in Nestabilities added an extra touch to the appearance of chubbiness for Maurice.   Added little touches include a wee line of glitter along some edges, along with white “snowy” Flower Soft to give Maurice his snowy appearance.   Little sparkles from a Spica glitter pen are seen in real life on Maurice’s scarf.     I was inspired to give some stampin’ time to Maurice by this week’s featured stamper challenge, FS152, at SCS.  Congratulations, Ann (Ardodd) on being featured this week!

And finally, my blog and I are having a ‘creative difference’ in opinion today, Sigh  which affects the photo & text placement.   Hopefully I’ll get that corrected before Monday night’s blog hop post!   You’re all invited back for Monday night at 10:00 p.m. CST!     Here’s to a marvelous Monday for each of you!
