Springtime’s Get Well Wishes!
This week’s CAS challenge at SCS is to create a square card. Well, it’s pretty well known that I enjoy making square cards, so how could I resist joining in the fun? … … Did you catch the fact that it is a “CAS” challenge (CAS = clean and simple)?
Yeah …. I love squares … but I have this uncomfortable “thing”about CAS. You see … that’s the delightful realm of my DD … “not” her Mom! **Breathe, Mom … **
Anyway … we must all learn to plunge ahead … “learn” is the key word here. And without practice, there can’t be much “learning”. So, here I go. I’m plunging ahead … again.
I just couldn’t stick to one layer, but purposefully kept each of the 2 layers very clean. I’ve dry embossed a Spellbinders Nestabilities die surrounding the orchid image. Now originally, I thought that might be the only “embellishment”, but in the end, I succumbed to the “need” to add a little more, a.k.a. simple pearls. Still, it fits the definition of clean & simple (according to me), and I decided that I might even make a couple more in like style for future needs, since this one is already addressed for a far-away friend. 😉
Thanks so much for your time spent here today, and for any sweet advice you might share before you venture on for further inspiration. It’s rainy & dreary here in N. TX … very conducive to staying inside with stamps, ink & paper. I’ll venture out on Tuesday of necessity … but tuck myself back inside as soon as possible! *grin*
