We’re Blog Hoppin’! ‘Happy Spring’ & ‘By Your Side’!
Welcome to the previews for Gina K’s upcoming new release! Tonight, you’ll see projects featuring 2 of the newest sets, Asela Hopkins’ new “By Your Side” and Gina’s new “Happy Spring” stamp set and digi-papers! I know you’re going to love this new release … so let’s get started!

My first project was inspired by the gorgeous early Spring … one of my favorite times of the year. I’ve filled a happy little pail with seed packets and altered a chipboard tag using Gina’s new Card Kit Club stamp set, “Happy Spring” and matching digi-papers. I love the colors in these papers! I’m thinking this might be a great little gift idea for your friends, teachers, etc. who are yearning to get outside and greet the upcoming Spring!

Here’s a closer look at the tag itself. Before adding the digi-paper to the tag, I painted it with white acrylic paint, particularly the edges.

Next, my card features the same new stamp set …
It’s really going to be easy to create Spring greetings with this set! I’ve paper-pieced the hat and gloves with “Happy Spring” digi-papers, and popped them up for added dimension. The white contrasting layer behind the image layers has been pressure embossed with a Cuttlebug folder, then wrapped with organdy ribbon. Tex’s Tip: When adding brads, it’s great to remember to pierce the holes and insert the brads on an “outer” layer of the card if possible. This avoids having the folded prongs showing when the card is opened. You’ll find my project recipes at the bottom of this post. Thanks oh so much for your sweet encouragement and visits!
