Gina K Preview #3 * “Sew Pretty” & “Welcome Home”

Published by at 10:00 pm under Blog Hop,Gina K Designs,Paper-Piecing

This is such a sweet week for Gina K fans!  Tonight many of the design team will be sharing previews of the new “Sew Pretty” set and the new “Welcome Home” set … both to be presented during Thursday night’s Release Party over at Stamp TV!

Designers Participating in Previews tonight:

The Release Party is this Thursday, April 22 on StampTV.  We would LOVE to have you join us for the fun!

There will be challenges, contest questions, chatter, as well as tons of samples from the Design Team members from 7-10 (central time) all leading to the new products being available in GinaK’s online store at 10pm.

Here’s a vintage-style sample featuring Asela Hopkins’ new set, “Sew Pretty”.   In my early youth, my Mom loved to sew … and although she did some dress-making for others, she really enjoyed sewing all different types of aprons.  In fact, she sold them and took custom orders.  I have only one of those aprons, one she made for me as a little girl.  But that’s why I knew I “needed” this set … history & the power of memory.

Admittedly, I’ve chosen from some of my own favorite colors and very lightly aged the paper edges with a couple soft colors.  At the beginning of the year, I happened to purchase this lace, but have since chastised myself for having done so.   Now, I’m glad it was ready & available.  Isn’t that the way it goes?

Thank you so much for your treasured encouragement.  I’m glad to see that you’re savoring another Gina K blog hop with us tonight!   Here’s to a sweet week from here on out!

What a sweet story about your mom, Bev. That apron she made must be a precious treasure in your family, esp for your grandkids . I can imagine how wonderful it would be to own something that my great grandma made herself! I love the touch of lace and the soft, feminine colors are perfect.

  9. I love this Bev. This sentiment just cracks me up, paired with this image. The housewife is so retro and the sentiment so modern and hip! You did an awesome job with this card. Well done, my friend.

Whoa, what a wonderful story, Tex! How funny, I love aprons. About 20 years ago I started sewing just white ones with lots of trim. I’ve have all of them because I dont know anyone who loves aprons. Guess you do though.

I thought your comments about your ‘natural’ siblings was a major disclosure. I like how you added I’m here.

I’m totally lovin’ this retro card! Your work is amazing!
